Lee Heine Advancement In Apiculture Scholarship
In the beekeeping industry, Lee Heine wore several hats. He was the Branch Manager for Dadant's Beekeeping Supplies in Watertown, WI. Lee Founded what was the largest package bee distribution outlet in the USA. He served the beekeeping community in several ways. He was president of the Wisconsin Honey Producers. Lee also served as a Chairman on The National Honey Board. Lee was a friend and mentor to many and made a significant impact to the beekeeping industry at both state and national levels. Lee was always willing to share his knowledge. He truly enjoyed seeing the younger generations show interest in beekeeping at state or national levels and would go above and beyond to help them become better at it. As a way to carry on Lee's Legacy and love for the younger generations of Beekeepers. We will be offering the opportunity to anyone who is a high school senior or anyone who is a college student. Preferably perusing a career in Apiculture in one way or another, but not necessary to be considered. To receive this award, you, or a family member, or representative must be present to accept the award at the Midwest HoneyBee Expo. This award will be presented during the Honey Show Results, Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 9:45 am.
